LEESBURG, Fla. — “A World of Difference: Embracing Neurodiversity,” the PBS television show produced by Beacon College, recently recognized Amanda Morin with its prestigious Difference Maker Award. The award recognizes prominent individuals who thrive with learning disabilities, as well as allies of the neurodiversity movement, and includes a featured profile segment on the show.
Morin is a neurodivergent activist, award-winning author, early childhood specialist, certified teacher, and nationally recognized speaker. She is dedicated to fostering accessible, inclusive environments for neurodivergent individuals and brings innovative perspectives to education and family-focused organizations. She played a key role in launching Understood.org in 2014 and continues to shape conversations around mental health, disability and neurodiversity.
Her work spans with print and digital media, and she collaborates with educators and parents to build awareness and affirm their roles in inclusive learning. ( 2 )
